On April 29, 2025, Shanghai Agripower international Co., Ltd. held an important business meeting with the KIYONA ENERGY LIMITED team. KIYONA ENERGY LIMITED is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ZESCO, specializing in the development and operation of energy projects. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the collaboration on a 50MW photovoltaic (PV) project and a 3MW rooftop PV project in Zambia, as well as to explore the implementation of these projects under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Zhou Zhihui, General Manager of Shanghai Agripower, Mr. Luo Xianhong, as well as Mr. Roger, the representative of AGRIPOWER Zambia. On the KIYONA ENERGY LIMITED side, Mr. Clement Siame, CEO, along with the company’s financial officer and two technical engineers, participated. During the meeting, both sides engaged in detailed discussions on the feasibility of the projects, technical requirements, investment models, and how to ensure the successful implementation of the projects through the BOT model.
This meeting marked an important step in the cooperation between Shanghai Agripower and KIYONA ENERGY LIMITED in the energy sector. Both sides agreed that by collaborating on the construction of large-scale PV projects, they could not only provide stable green energy to Zambia and the surrounding region but also contribute positively to optimizing the local energy structure and promoting sustainable development.
The KIYONA ENERGY LIMITED team demonstrated its profound experience and professional expertise in the energy sector, while Shanghai Agripower, with its advanced photovoltaic technology and international operational experience, laid a solid foundation for cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to close collaboration on project implementation, technical support, and operational management, ensuring the smooth rollout of these projects.
